Josh Janes writes country music the old, unhurried way — a guitar in hand, a melody worked out over a few evenings, and words that sound like something somebody would actually say.

He plays wherever there's a room and a reason: brewery patios and pavilions, small stages, kitchens. Some nights it's a full band behind him; most nights it's just him and six strings, which is where the songs started anyway.
